The Full Life Association offers longevity consulting services to individuals, employees in an organizational setting, and families to assist them in successfully living with the challenges of life that for many includes 20, 30 or more years after the traditional retirement age.
1. Individuals – people who are in their pre-retirement and retirement years need a life plan that gives them the tools to live energetic, purposeful, healthy lives at any age. As people approach their retirement years the only planning they have done, if they have done any planning, is usually financial planning. The need for a life plan is often realized as they watch parents and relatives live into their 80’s, 90’s and beyond without a plan and the negative results they observe from that situation. People who have retired traditionally have a “honeymoon period” in the first 3-5 years after they leave their employment. When the realization that they don’t want to golf everyday, travel everyday, sail everyday, camp everyday etc. hits them, they know something has to change. These people know they need a plan for living that is different than what they are living with or negative events will begin to appear in the best of situations. The Full Life Association will provide a personal consultant who is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA). A Certified Senior Advisor has supplemented their individual professional credentials and education with knowledge about aging and working with seniors. A candidate for the CSA designation must meet eligibility requirements established by the independent Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA) Certification Council, an independent body that oversees the development and administration of the CSA exam and certification program. These requirements include education about senior issues and/or experience working with seniors, passing both a background check and the CSA exam, and signing the CSA Code of Professional Responsibility.
2. Families – the challenges of aging parents and relatives can present an overwhelming burden for a family when life planning has not been done. At times these challenges create a stressful environment for family members and professional assistance can help alleviate that stress. The Full Life Association’s services include counseling family members in order that they can take actions that will reduces the challenges the family is facing, help the family take appropriate action under the conditions they must deal with, and to institute preventative actions based on life planning developed with the help of a Certified Senior Advisor.
3. Organizations – companies large and small are faced with employees whose caretaking responsibilities continue to increase in association with the needs of aging parents and relatives. At times the impact on the employer creates a need for support that is not normally available within the Human Resource Management Function. The Full Life Association provides consulting services to companies that support individual employees, and their Human Capital Management Group. The need for longevity consulting becomes obvious as demands on employees as caregivers exceed their ability to contain care giving roles demands from impacting their role as an employee.
