Life Planning Education Program

Session 1: Defining What Living a Full Life Means to You

This session serves as the introduction to the Full Life Association’s education program and forms the foundation for subsequent educational programs offered by the Association.  A fully participatory experience, the seminar is designed to help deal with the myriad questions generated in a person’s mind when they begin to consider how they want to spend the 20 or 30 years after 65.  Using the Full Life Planning Guide, attendees develop their personal vision of what living a full life means to them.

Session 2: Creating Your Model Life Scenario

The seminar helps attendees refine their Full Life Vision Statement, which was created in the first session.  Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the work they have done on their vision statement, share difficulties and successes and outline objectives for their model life scenario.  They will use the Time Life Model to plan their model retired life, based on the elements they've previously identified as being important to them.

Session 3: Action Planning To Achieve Your Model Life Scenario

Attendees have created their model life scenario and decided what they want for the different stages of retirement. Using the Full Life Association's Life Planning Matrix, attendees will now map out their action plan for reaching their desired goals and monitoring progress.

Session 4: Overcoming Obstacles To Achieving Your Model Life Scenario

An individual’s positive forward movement toward a model life scenario will often run into obstacles, difficulties and challenges. Periodically the Full Life Association holds this highly interactive seminar to assist members in overcoming those obstacles or challenges, which seem to defy solution.
